A profound commitment to community service is at the heart of the five-year mission strategic framework. As the first pillar in the discipleship process, community service is the bedrock upon which all other pillars stand. It’s about preparing the soil of the heart through acts of kindness—preparing the ground for planting the seeds of God’s Word.
As we strive to advance the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nunavut, it is paramount that we embrace the importance and benefits of maintaining a comprehensive church profile for every congregation within our conference.
The church profiles serve as a foundational and baseline tool for us in administration to guide decision-making processes and negotiations as we provide essential support, strategic mission direction, and pastoral guidance to our churches.

In the face of life’s many challenges – wars, climate change, economic instability, public and personal health issues, and the rapid pace of our children’s growth and decision-making – it’s natural to feel fear and anxiety. However, we Christians have two powerful tools to navigate these turbulent times: hope and resilience.

Over the last few months, Regina, Saskatchewan, has witnessed an increase in immigrant families from various parts of the world. The Hill Avenue SDA Church provides a safe haven for these families to find support, build relationships, and receive spiritual guidance.
Donatien from Burundi and his family face a significant challenge when reaching a safe haven. They struggle with language barriers and unreliable transportation, which puts them at risk of becoming isolated.
