Description: Riverside Christian School (RSCS) is located in Saskatoon, the largest city in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan with the majestic South Saskatchewan River running through the center of  this “Paris of the Prairies”. RSCS is experiencing enrollment growth and is looking for an energetic elementary teacher to fill the full-time and permanent opening for the 2025/2026 year to join the current faculty. The successful candidate has the dedication to teach students of various ethnic backgrounds, is organized, creative, willing to assist in the entire school program, has an understanding of teaching a variety of subjects in a multi-grade classroom, and is technologically proficient.

Desired Qualifications for Employment:

  • A member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good standing
  • A current favourable criminal police check & vulnerable sector check
  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in Education
  • Eligible for SDA NAD Denominational Certification
  • Eligible for Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certification
  • – Documented ability to work legally in a school in Canada – Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Work Permit valid for 3 or more years
  • Models excellence in teaching through innovative ways (STEM, STEAM, Research-Based, etc.)
  • Has classroom experience, effective communication and organizational skills, a passion for education, and ability to work with ethnic students.
  • Is an independent thinker that has a powerful desire for teaching and a love for students.
  • Is committed to a high-level academic program and meeting individual needs of students in the classroom.

Job Title: Full Time Teacher/Principal for a 1-Room School Deadline: May 31, 2025 or until filled Description: Excitement is overwhelming at the opening of an SDA School in Canora, Saskatchewan and we are inviting you to be the first teacher in this new school. The projected enrollment for this coming school year is 12 students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 with the possibility of an Educational Assistant to help if needed. The successful candidate needs energy, dedication and understanding in teaching a variety of subjects and grades, having proficiency with technology, and experience working with students from a wide range of ethnic diversities. As the Principal, the candidate needs to have vision, organization, creativity, and a willingness to support and assist in the growth of this school; also collaborating with the school board, conference superintendent, and has strong people skills that enables them to interact and communicate effectively with parents and students at all levels. Canora Christian School supports both the SDA and provincial curriculum. Canora is a progressive community that is full of community spirit, endless recreational opportunities/activities, and has a small-town environment with the necessary amenities of city living. The Canora SDA Church was planted there in 1953 and has 40+ active membership that are fully committed to the establishment of this school in the community. Qualifications for Employment:
