We’ve just released our sunset calendar, and it’s ready for download!

A pastor’s job is not easy. They frequently work long hours, even on weekends and holidays. They are responsible for various tasks, including preaching, teaching, counselling, administration, and visiting the sick or homebound. They sacrifice time with their own families so that they can be available for their church families. In short, pastors sacrifice a lot for the sake of others. As such, they are deserving of our gratitude.

Pastors are a crucial part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church community in the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference. They lead and guide our spiritual growth and provide direction to our churches. Their sermons, advice, service, leadership and prayers profoundly impact our faith journey.

Today, on the Sabbath, we honour the Indigenous communities of Canada on this Truth and Reconciliation Day. The Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church pauses to reflect, remember, and acknowledge the pain and suffering experienced by Indigenous Peoples in our nation’s history.

During the July 2023 Camp Meeting at Camp Whitesand, the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference introduced a mission framework aimed at developing a thriving culture of discipleship and healthy churches by 2028.

Amid the devastating wildfires affecting British Columbia, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories, our hearts go out in solidarity and empathy to all those affected. As a community of faith, we are called upon to stand together in these trying times and offer our prayers for the welfare of distressed communities.
