The recent fair event in Biggar town was a remarkable success, bringing the community together joyfully and meaningfully. The local church played a vibrant role in serving and engaging with visitors among the many participants. For two full days, church members set up a welcoming tent to give out free bottled water, mental health resources, and fun giveaways such as frisbees, stress balls, and other goodies for children. Their presence added a warm, compassionate touch to the festive atmosphere and offered practical support to all who stopped by.

Church members worked with dedication and enthusiasm, showing a true spirit of service and outreach. Their goal was to connect with the community in a genuine way, and their efforts were deeply appreciated. Whether handing out helpful literature on mental well-being or simply offering a kind smile and refreshing water bottle, the team ensured everyone felt seen and valued. Many conversations were sparked, new friendships were made, and seeds of hope and encouragement were planted throughout the event.

A major highlight of the fair was the climbing wall brought by Pastor Oscar, the Youth Director from the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference. This exciting feature attracted hundreds of people of all ages, from small children to adventurous adults, all eager to try their skills on the rocky wall. As they waited or cheered each other on, participants also received free giveaways and interacted with church volunteers, creating a fun and uplifting environment for all.

The impact of the church’s involvement did not go unnoticed. The fair organizers personally came by to thank the team for their presence and support, praising the positive energy and service the church provided. They were so impressed that they extended an invitation for the church to participate again next year. It was a blessing to be part of such a memorable event, and it truly reflected the church’s mission to serve with love and build strong, supportive community ties.
