Candidates
Pastor Ron Marshall
Pastor Ron Marshall was born in Montreal, Quebec, to Robert Marshall (deceased) & Yvonne Marshall, who emigrated from the beautiful Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago. At 17, he became actively involved in youth ministries and was encouraged to share his love for Jesus Christ with the youth in his church.
After actively ministering to the needs of his local church’s youth, organizing programs and giving bible studies, several years later, he became the Youth District Coordinator for the Anglo-Filipino sector of the Quebec Conference in 2000. After completing his studies at Champlain College in 1998 in Fine Arts, he attended Concordia University to study Film Animation in 2005. He eventually went to the School of the Prophets in Huntsville, Alabama, and graduated from Oakwood University with a degree in Theology in 2017.
He has many years of experience in bible work and was also the Chaplain for Greaves Adventist Academy from 2014-2015. Today, he has married the love of his life, Victoria Ann Pierre Marshall. They reside in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, where he is the district pastor for the Yorkton, Quill Lake, and Canora Seventh-day Adventist Churches for the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference.
Pastor Marshall loves the Lord very much and loves to share the word of God with anyone willing to listen to him! His prayer is that God uses him to bring hope, healing, and the good news of salvation in Christ to as many souls as possible before Jesus comes again!
Pastor Carvil Richards
Pastor Carvil Richards is a native of Jamaica. He graduated from Andrews University in 2018 with a Master’s in Divinity (MDiv) and is currently in his third year as a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) at Tyndale University in Preaching. He pastored faithfully for close to three years in Nova Scotia, Canada. Also, at present, he is pastoring the Victoria Avenue and Rosthern churches here at the Manitoba- Saskatchewan Conference.
One of the most significant influencers in his acceptance of the call to ministry was a retired minister in the Bahamas, Dr. John Carey, who studied with Pastor Carvil and led him to the Lord in 2009.
While pastor Carvil was at Andrews University, he met his dear wife, Alexandra Raney, who has two Masters degrees: Youth and Young Adult Ministry and Community and International Development. Their union has produced two girls: Vara, three years old, and Caris, twenty-two months old.

Pastor Liviu Tilihoi
My name is Liviu Tilihoi. I am married to my beautiful wife, Vanessa, and God has blessed us with three children, which I love dearly. I was born and raised in Romania and Italy, where I received most of my education. I could learn several languages and study in Italy for two years. I started my degree in theology in Romania at the Adventist University in Bucharest. After one and a half years, I transferred to CUC in 2011 (now Burman University). I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies with the Pre-Professional Track in 2014.
Before I started ministry work in Canada as a Pastor, I was blessed to go on two mission trips to the Philippines in 2011 and 2014 for ten weeks, sponsored by Ivan and Bonnie Lust, my parents-in-law.
God led me to start my ministry work as a Bible worker in the Yorkton area in September 2014 under the leadership of Pastor Rick Harwood, the senior Pastor at the time and my mentor. After spending five years in Yorkton in a district with four churches, we moved to the Prince Albert area in December 2019, where I pastor another four-church district.
I never wanted to become a pastor, but I did want to serve God in some capacity. My older brother and I wanted to become missionaries in Namibia for a year, but God led my brother and me to pastoral ministry- which I genuinely enjoy. I give all the credit to God for His call to pastoral ministry.
In closing, I want to share a Bible text that has inspired me throughout my ministry: “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”
